Emmanuel Otieno Ngore is a Senior Programme, Policy and Environmental Management Specialist with over 12 years of international experience in sustainable agriculture, food systems transformation, climate change, environmental management, youth engagement, institutional strengthening and multi-stakeholder programme coordination. He has worked with and supported programmes involving the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), UNOPS/NDC Partnership, FAO, USAID-funded Policy LINK, CARE International, ICRAF, the African Union Commission, national governments and development partners. His experience spans programme and project management, policy engagement, stakeholder coordination, institutional capacity development, climate resilience, environmental governance and sustainable agrifood systems. Emmanuel has a strong track record of supporting young people to participate meaningfully in Africa's agriculture and food-systems transformation. He led the first African Youth Dialogue on Food Systems in preparation for the UN Food Systems Summit and coordinated youth organisations across Africa to develop a common position for engagement in global food-systems processes. He has also supported the development and coordination of continental stakeholder platforms that connect young people and other non-state actors with policy and decision-making processes. He is a Founder Member of the Consortium for African Youth in Agriculture and Climate Change (CAYACC), has served as Kenya Representative for Young Professionals for Agricultural Development (YPARD), and is a member of the CAADP Youth Network. These engagements have given him practical experience working with young professionals, agripreneurs and youth-led organisations and helping them connect their ideas and initiatives to broader opportunities in agriculture, climate action, policy and development. As a mentor, Emmanuel is particularly interested in supporting young people in agribusiness and agritech career development, leadership, project and programme management, climate-smart and sustainable agriculture, proposal and concept development, stakeholder engagement, networking, partnership development, policy engagement and navigating opportunities within international development organisations. He brings to the East Africa Agritec Youth Ecosystem Alliance a combination of technical expertise, international development experience and a longstanding commitment to strengthening the participation and leadership of young Africans in agriculture and food systems. Emmanuel holds a Master of Environmental Management from The Open University, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Environmental Science from Kenyatta University, Kenya.
