I am a Professional Horticulturist, Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Standards Specialist, and the Founder & CEO of EcoCycle Green Farm Ltd. My work centers on climate-smart agriculture, sustainable crop production, and transforming raw agricultural produce into globally competitive assets through technical compliance like GlobalG.A.P. and Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standards. My enterprise also drives sustainable farming and waste management through anaerobic compost production. Having launched and scaled a green agribusiness—supported by seed funding from the Tony Elumelu Foundation—I bring hands-on expertise in export readiness, greenhouse management, post-harvest handling, and fruit and vegetable processing. My professional journey includes serving as an SPS Young Professional with Trade Mark Africa and mentoring youth in agroecology through the YALTA Initiative. As a mentor, I am committed to guiding emerging East African agripreneurs in navigating international standards, developing sustainable enterprise models, and bridging the gap between field-level farming techniques and commercial market access. Regional Export & Standards Compliance: As an SPS Young Professional with Trade Mark Africa, actively enforced Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) protocols, GlobalG.A.P. requirements, and Integrated Farm Assurance (IFA) standards to transition fresh produce (French beans and chili) into export-ready, competitive global assets. Agroecology & Youth Mentorship: Served as an Agroecology Mentor under the YALTA Initiative (Youth in Agroecology and Business Learning Track Africa) and the Young Ecological Research Program, guiding emerging youth agripreneurs and researchers across East Africa in sustainable farming techniques, market entry, and climate resilience. Technical Processing & Value Addition: Completed a 6-month TVET industrial training at Exalto Engineering, mastering fruit and vegetable processing (juices, wines, jams) to reduce post-harvest losses and champion local agricultural value addition. Applied Agricultural Research: Conducted comparative research on fertilizer applications (DAP, NPK, organic manure) on Irish potato yields at the University of Rwanda, utilizing digital tools like Kobo Toolbox and ODK for field data collection and analytics.
