Dr. Anasia Gasper Maleko is an Executive Director for Small Medium Agribusiness Enterprise Development Services Tanzania abbreviated SMAED Services Tanzania. She is an Agricultural Economist and Food Marketing expert by Training with 15 years of experience in the Agriculture Sector in Tanzania in the Public Sector (Ministerial level) and 10 years in Private Sector as a Freelance, Associate Consultant and Researcher in Tanzania, EAC, SADC, Africa region, EU and the WBG at Washington DC. I am an African Food Champion graduate from Centre for Africa Leadership in Agriculture – CALA and an African Food Changemaker trained under Building Resilience Against Climate and Environment Shocks - BRACE. My areas of expertise are based on Agriculture Value Chain development, policy analysis, program and Private Sector; Monitoring, Evaluation Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning for Development Professionals (MEL4DP); Gender Equity and Social Inclusion – (GESI) youth and women mentoring and coaching in Tanzania, EAC and Africa region. I am a teacher by training with experience in curriculum development and program performance evaluation in Tanzania and EAC region. Additionally, I have been a youth and women in agribusiness mentoring for TWCC, TECC, EAC, SADC, and PAFO including the Thrive Program at University of Reading. More importantly, I do have great network in Tanzania EAC, SADC and internationally in the areas of Agriculture, Food Marketing, Trade, Women and Youth. I do have a passion and strong personal commitment to use my knowledge and skills to challenge the processes of elimination marginalization, disadvantage and poverty, especially those that emerge from young people and women, ill-informed or prejudicial perceptions of social difference (e.g. gender, age, ethnicity and disability). Academically, she is a holder of Doctorate degree Agricultural Economics, and Food Marketing, Master’s degree in Agriculture Economics both from University of Reading, United Kingdom, Bachelor degree in Agriculture General from Sokoine University of Agriculture in Tanzania and Diploma in Education from Klerruu Teachers College, Tanzania. Anasia like reading books, home gardening, football, music and adventure. Agriculture is my Passion.
