Oxford Saïd Global Climate Tech Challenge 2026 for High School Students and Teachers

The Oxford Saïd Global Climate Tech Challenge 2026 is a global innovation competition organized by Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, inviting high school students and teachers from around the world to develop technology-driven solutions to address climate change and build resilient agrifood systems.

The challenge encourages young innovators to apply technology, creativity, and problem-solving skills to develop practical solutions for climate-related challenges affecting communities locally, nationally, and globally. Participants are invited to submit projects under one of five challenge themes:

• Food Security – Develop innovative technologies that improve sustainable agriculture, food production, and food distribution systems.
• Water Scarcity – Design solutions for water conservation, smart irrigation, rainwater harvesting, or affordable water purification.
• Biodiversity – Create technologies that protect ecosystems, restore habitats, and conserve biodiversity.
• Extreme Weather Events – Develop solutions that help communities predict, prepare for, and recover from climate-related disasters.
• Air Pollution – Design systems that monitor and reduce air pollution while improving environmental and public health.

This opportunity is highly relevant to youth working in Agritech, Climate Tech, Digital Agriculture, Artificial Intelligence, Environmental Sustainability, and Agrifood Systems Transformation.

Prizes

• Winning student team receives a fully funded scholarship to attend the Future Climate Innovators Summer School 2027 at the University of Oxford.
• Winning teacher receives a fully funded Executive Education Programme at Oxford Saïd Business School in 2027.
• All finalists receive a fully funded trip to Oxford to present their innovations.
• All approved participants receive a Certificate of Participation from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
