About This Opportunity

The Development Innovation Ventures (DIV) Fund 2026 supports innovative solutions with the potential to improve the lives of people in developing countries at scale. Through a staged funding model, DIV invests in evidence-based innovations that demonstrate measurable impact, cost-effectiveness, and strong potential for expansion.

The fund is open to startups, social enterprises, non-profit organizations, researchers, and innovators developing solutions across sectors including agriculture, climate resilience, education, health, livelihoods, and economic development.

Agritech, climate-smart agriculture, aquaculture, food systems, agricultural digital platforms, precision agriculture, irrigation technologies, post-harvest innovations, agricultural finance, market access platforms, and other agrifood system innovators are strongly encouraged to apply. Solutions that improve productivity, strengthen food security, increase farmer incomes, reduce post-harvest losses, enhance climate resilience, and create sustainable livelihoods are particularly well aligned with the programme's objectives.

Funding is provided through three stages, allowing innovators to validate ideas, scale proven solutions, and expand high-impact innovations capable of transforming lives across developing countries.

Funding Levels

Stage 1: Up to US$200,000
Stage 2: Up to US$500,000 (exceptionally up to US$750,000)
Stage 3: Up to US$1,500,000

Eligibility Criteria

Open to startups, non-profit organisations, researchers, and social enterprises
Applicants can be based anywhere globally but must focus on impact in developing countries
Must demonstrate a clear and innovative solution to a real-world problem
Show strong potential for scale and widespread adoption
Provide evidence of cost-effectiveness compared to existing solutions
Demonstrate ability to measure and deliver meaningful impact
