About This Session

The Youth in Agrifood Systems in EAC (YASE) Platform Awareness Webinar for Ugandan Youth in Agrifood Systems is designed to raise awareness among Ugandan youth and the wider EAC youth agribusiness community about the YASE Platform and mobilize their active participation in its structures and opportunities.

The webinar will introduce participants to the EAC Regional Agrifood Systems Investment Plan (RASIP) 2026–2035 and the rationale for youth inclusion in EAC agrifood systems transformation. It will also explain the mandate, structure, governance and functions of the YASE Platform, including national and regional representation.

Participants will learn about the process for establishing and engaging with Uganda's National YASE Affiliate, including pathways for youth participation and nomination of Uganda's youth representatives to the regional Platform.

The session will also showcase opportunities available through the live EAC Youth in Agribusiness Portal in production and value addition, intra-regional trade, climate resilience, digitalization and access to finance.

While the webinar is focused on Ugandan youth, youth from all EAC Partner States are welcome to participate and engage in regional peer learning.
