Kenyan Kiambu Man Abandoned by Dad as Baby Turns Rejection into Success Through Poultry Farming

Francis Muiruri, popularly known as Francis wa Kuku, transformed adversity into a successful poultry enterprise. After overcoming childhood abandonment, disability, failed examinations, financial hardship and the loss of his mother, he grew a flock of 50 chickens into an operation of about 1,000 birds generating more than KSh 180,000 monthly. His story demonstrates resilience, entrepreneurship and the potential of poultry farming as a livelihood opportunity.
